?Description
?General Purpose
?The main purpose of DRD Technology is to support the rest of DRD in making good DRD-level decisions with respect to emerging hardware and software technologies and standards and to support the rest of DRD with common technology solutions when justified by balancing consumer experiences, time-to-market and R&D productivity.
?The Connectivity team's purpose within DRD Technology is to lead the definition of our technology positions and related standardization in the area of access technologies, including wide area and local connectivity as well as smart Internet connectivity. Key targets are to:
?To ensure Nokia's market access,
??To drive consistent and simplified connectivity experiences for consumers, and
??Create innovation.
We are looking for an individual who will help us carry out the mission of Connectivity team primarily with focus on China environment.
?Main Responsibility Area
Solves critical technical questions/problems accross a demanding, broad environment.
?Promote Nokia's connectivity technology message to Chinese standardization bodies and industrial players. Influence key players to create a positive environment for Nokia's business. Provide early warning to Device Entities and other Nokia units on developments that could impact Nokia solutions.
Scope
Resolves unique and highly complex problems within own discipline. Makes decisions about own and/or project work using known solutions as basis. Interprets policies and establishes procedures. Increased awareness and influence of other functions outside of own business area.
Impact
?Impact is primarily short term and typically functional, departmental or single geographic in scope through management of resources. Accountable for departmental/ program goals, achievement and cost performance. Actions and errors will normally impact business, program, project, function.
Qualifications
Individual Portfolio
Expert in more than one area, broad perspective.
?Experience with working in China environment, especially with operators and other industry players
?Experience in working within Chinese standardization environment.
Typically 10-15 years relevant experience. Degree.
Environment
Highly independent and self directed. Develops plans, measures effectiveness. Assesses customer relationships and service levels. Can develop and implement complex and innovative concepts. Problems require searching and selecting. Anticipates problems, seeks opportunities. Models creative and innovative work methods. High collegial interaction.
